DVD Game Archive

We are currently in the process of transferring
our stash of game films and video tapes to DVD's. The majority
of our films and tapes involve football, but we do have several basketball, volleyball and baseball game tapes. We will be listing them on this page when they are completed. Check back often, this process will take several years to complete. We have game films from 1954 to 1985. We have video tapes from 1986 to date. Although we don't have every film or tape from 1954 to date we
do have an estimated 73+ games ready to convert.
(In looking over the pile of films there is a compete set of football game films from 1976, that's right all 10 games!)

Since posting this on the web site more games films have been found in athlete's possession. We have just received a copy of a 1987 volleyball match vs. Butte College. It is a game DVD of the Knights three game sweep of Butte College which took place on 10/31/87. The Knights won 15-7, 15-10 & 15-4. Also we are now getting some women's basketball game films from 1981 to 1983. We have found some more football game films from 1970 to 1972. As time permits they will all be converted to DVD's. If you have or know of the location of any other game films or tapes of Shasta College athletes in action please email the webmaster and let me know. We will convert them for you and we can then distribute copies to your teammates and fans.

We have 17 DVD's ready at this time. They range from a football classic from 1954, the Vallejo Redskins vs. Shasta Knights at Thompson Field. This game features several Hall of Famers including, Jack Dirstine, Dick "Moose" Lambdin, Lloyd "The Knight" Snelson, Ray Sanders, Cappy McIntire, Ned McGarva and Captain Bob Walker to name a few. To another great game, the 1983 State Championship basketball team coached by Jim Parks featuring Hall of Famers Chris Harper and Vince Washington at guards. The Knights put a late game explosion on Marin and win the state championship going away.

As time permits more games should be available monthly.

We will be converting every useable film or tape to a
DVD as time permits. Check Back often to see if
we have you or a family member on a DVD!

(sport, date and opponent)
and enclose a check or money order
(made out to Shasta College Athletics)
for $5 each to cover the cost of the DVD
and mailing charges . Allow 2-4 weeks for delivery.
