14 Ex-Knight Greats into the
Hall for 2005!
(Shasta College-10-3-05) Athletic Director, Gary Houser, has announced the names of the newest members of the Shasta College Hall of Fame Class of 2005. Heading the list are league MVP's, school record holders and State Champions in sports ranging from Football to Swimming. In alphabetical order the class of 2005 is, Amber Amoss (Volleyball '95 & '96), Bill Bullert (Football '97 & '98), John Colombero (Football '55 & '56), Michelle Divine-Thurman (Softball '99 & '00), Jennifer Durgan-Feusi (Volleyball '93 & '94 & Track '94 & '95), Rebecca Franklin (Swimming '97 & '98), Dave Hallagan (Community Service '98-present), Paris Hood (Softball '97 & '98), Demetrius Jackson (Basketball '99-01), Ileah Jackson (Basketball '99-01 & Track '00 & '01), Bill Kimball (Football '53 & '54), Craig Koontz (Football '97 & '98), Mike Vanderwerf (Athletic Trainer '76-'01),
and Dino Walton (Basketball '96-'98).
The Knights also have a big weekend of festivities planned for the new Hall of Famers. Things start out on Friday night October 14th with formal induction ceremonies at Win-River Casino starting at 6:00 PM. A social hour lasting until 7:00 PM. Dinner and desert be served from 7:00 until 8:00 PM. Formal induction ceremonies begin at 8:00 PM and should last until around 9:30 PM.
On Saturday the new Hall of Famers will be introduced to Knight fans at half-time of the Sierra-Shasta footfall game. Kick-off is at 6:00 PM for the game and half-time should be around 7:30 or so. Come and visit with these Ex-Knight greats and welcome them into the Shasta College Hall of Fame.
