About the Coach…

Coach Jesse Banda is in his first year as the Head Men’s Soccer coach.  Jesse was born and raised in Tampico, Mexico where he developed his passion for soccer. Jesse and his family then moved to San Jose where he graduated from James Lick High School.  Coach Banda also attended San Jose City College and studied accounting.  Another family move and Coach Banda found himself in San Diego. While in San Diego, Jesse coached in the San Diego Youth Soccer leagues.  A final family move and Coach Banda ended up in Redding. Jesse attended Shasta College and received a degree in Criminal Justice. Coach Banda has coached in several leagues around the Redding area including Shasta Youth Soccer, Redding Youth Soccer and the NAL (Central Valley High School). In 2006, Coach Banda began his Shasta College coaching career as the assistant coach for Shasta College Men’s Soccer team.  Above all, the greatest reward for Coach Banda is to see players of different skill levels develop the traits needed to become better players and students.
