About the coaches..

Coach Stu has just completed his 21st year at the helm of the Lady Knights Softball program which makes him the longest tenured softball coach in the state at one school. Under his guidance the Knights have claimed 12 Golden Valley Conference Championships and made it to the States Elite 8 Tournament 4 times. Stupek has been selected GVC “Coach of the Year” 12 times and was chosen both Cal-JC State and National “Coach of the Year” in 2000. Records have been plentiful for Shasta during his more than two decade run with the Ladies claiming 31 1st Team All-State selections and 19 All-America picks and 2 Silver Shoe Award Winners (state stolen base leader). Three times the Lady Knight’s Softball Team has been selected as the Cal-JC Top Academic Team (last won in ’06). The GVC selects a MVP Player and Pitcher each season and the Lady Knights have had 28 past winners under Coach Stupek! Stupek is 3rd among active state coaches with 612 career victories (612-303) and is closing in on 300 career GVC wins (279-77).
