About
the Coach...
Coach Kelly Brazil is a graduate of Enterprise High
School (1983) and Shasta College (1985) where she competed in volleyball
under coaching legend, Sharon Yox. Kelly was an All-Conference volleyball
player (setter) for the Knights in 1984. Coach Brazil transferred to
CSU-Humboldt where she graduated with a B.A. degree. Kelly has coached
at all levels of volleyball from elementary school through college.
Coach
Brazil is actively involved with Club Shasta, a Redding area junior
program, and has served as both a coach and president in the organization.
Having served as the GVC seeding representative for volleyball the past
two seasons, Kelly now assumes all volleyball representative duties
for the conference. Coach Brazil was named Coach of the Year after winning
the G.V.C. Championships in 1996, 1997,1999, 2000, 2002, 2003 & 2006. During
July of 2003, Coach Brazil traveled to the South American countries
of Paraguay and Brazil. Her birthday was spent visiting the largest
dam in the world (Itaipu), and Iguasu Falls in Brazil.

GVC=Golden Valley Conference
Playoffs-
The top 16 teams from Northern CA and Southern CA compete
in two rounds of playoffs to determine the top four teams from each region. The final eight (4 North and 4 South) compete in a tournament to determine the state champion. All California competition is inclusive, with
no
divisions for large or small colleges.
