the yearly event towatch $80,000 (Donated by the McConnell Foundation)
in fireworks go off in a 25 minute spectacular. (Center left) Several
bands entertain the crowd before the fireworks display.

The crowd starts to fill in! Part of the estimated 15,000 people
who will eventually pack the Civic Auditorium grounds to watch the massive
fireworks display. Some of the many food booths are in the front right
foreground. Coca-Cola anyone??

Normally the philanthrophic organization the "McConnell Foundation"
donates $50,000 for the Fourth of July fireworks spectacular. This year
the McConnell Foundation added an additional $30,000 to make the fireworks
display one that won't soon be forgotten!
