Eddie Locke at Dana College
EX-KNIGHT WRESTLER IN BEST RECRUITING CLASS
(Redding Searchlight-10/28/05) Eddie Locke, a former Shasta College wrestler, joins a Dana College recruiting class recognized as the best in the country for non-NCAA Division I schools by WUSA Magazine this summer. A California Junior College All-American, Locke will try to fill the roster spot at 174 pounds for the Blair, Neb., school. Dana, which finished fifth in the NAIA 2005 National Championships, will look to make a run to the title behind six returning All-Americans and its strong recruits.

COACH JUSTIN BYXBE & COACH BURCH SWITCH ROLLS
(Shasta College-8/25/05-Jeffrey Jen Record Searchlight) The coaching staff switched positions with Justin Byxbe now the head coach. He has some good wrestlers coming back, including 184-pound sophomore Johnny Harrison. Look for the Knights to be real strong in the lighter classes, 157 pounds and under. Shasta hosts a scrimmage with Skyline on Sept. 9, but the Knights' first home date is Sept. 29 against Santa Rosa.
