Internet-MATH 101
Navigating the Lessons

Navigating the lessons:

The lecture material is organized in seven main Modules that can be accessed through the Learning Modules link in the navigation bar on the left of the screen within the student's WebCT account.

The "Learning Modules" page contains the links to the Modules to be covered during the semester. The table of contents for the each Module is accessed by clicking on its title. An example of Module Table of contents is giving in the following picture:

The appropriate Lesson can be accessed from this new page by clicking on the Unit's title within the table of contents for the Module. This action takes the student to the table of contents for the Unit, from which the online Lesson and its associated Practice Problems (and their answers) can be accessed. The Unit content page also shows the main objectives to be fulfilled by studying the Unit's content.

By clicking on the "Lesson" link, the student accesses the actual online lectures that are presented in Macromedia Flash format of easy navigation. At the bottom of the Lesson's window, the student finds information on what page is being shown, and how many total pages constitute the Lesson.

The student can navigate through all the pages for each lesson by clicking on the buttons at the bottom right of the Lesson's window, accessing one page at a time in ordered sequence.

Throughout the lessons, the student will encounter pages that require his/her action (click on sections of the screen) to display answers or "Hints" to solve exercises. It is recommended that the student always tries to obtain the answer on his/her own before requesting the information to be displayed, in order to gain mastery of the different mathematical techniques.
